Founded by art directors Robert Kondo and Daisuke “Duce” Tsutsumi in 2012, Tonko House have actively pursue its objective to create stories that deliver entertainment and awareness for people of all ages.
With their work experiences in Pixar and Blue Sky Studios as sketch artist, art director, production designer, film maker, visual development/color key artist, lighting art director – Robert and Dice Tsutsumi share their observation fundamentals to be a better storyteller through lighting, drawing, animation in “Painting with Light and Color with Dice Tsutsumi and Robert Kondo”, an online class in Schoolism.
In ten video lectures, Robert Kondo and Dice Tsutsumi have put together important curriculum to discuss the fundamentals of observing color and light as well as colorscripting and telling a story.

In the online class, both artists share their observations in lesson plan based on their past experiences in creating artwork for Pixar and Blue Sky Studios, on films such as Toy Story 3, Ice Age, and Monster University.
The online lessons can also be upgraded to have Critiqued Sessions: you receive personalized video feedback from course instructor Dice Tsutsumi as students learn from weekly lecture videos and complete scheduled assignments.
