Act Responsibly Even when You Don’t. Go crazy and at the same time treat the planet with our responsible pieces from Fall Winter 2020 – Diesel green label collection’s statement, made #ForResponsibleLiving.
After made a collection from existing garments in Upcycling for 55DS in February 2020, the fashion retail brand Diesel launched the Responsible Collection last week – all as part of their “For Responsible Living” Sustainability Strategy with Eco-Age – held in earlier this year. Working together with the Better Cotton Initiative, Diesel embarks on a five-year plan towards acting as a more conscious bran as reported during Copenhagen Fashion Week in August 2020.
The resposible green label collection is crafted from organic cotton and GRS-certified recycled polyester derived from used plastic bottles and factory waste, with a green twist on our logo that incorporate recycled polyester.
For the coming collection, they use recycled wool and the felted fabric, sourced from the Italian district of Prato, renowned for its regenerated textiles. The fibres for the flanel fabrics are free of all synthetic chemicals and grown without the use of genetically modified seeds.
The for the first batch of the Responsible Collection, mostly includes t-shirt and sweatshirts. The next will be more flannels shirt, hoodie with printed patch, double-breasted style long coat, and many more.
“People are thinking about how to save the world, how to give a better planet to our children and how to be responsible. This is what we want to do with Eco-Age. Every day we must be thinking about how to do things in a more modern way,” said Renzo Rosso, president of the OTB group and founder of Diesel back in January 2020.
