Design is not just lines and beauty, but foremost about its social impact.
A design studio in Slovenia, Donar d.o.o. has philosophy to create socially responsible and sustainable design with the mission to devote their work towards carbon-neutral and environmentally responsible society.
One of the latest product of Donar in collaboration with Primoz Jeza Design Studio to create a multifunctional backpack, called Nicoless Backpack that also a folding chair that can be easily assembled for use both indoors and out. Nicoless Backpack can also be re-used with Nicoless frame as a multiple award winner Nicoless chair.
The foldable base is made either from plywood (also scrap) or special patented material made out of recycled PET bottles. So, this is a 100% up-cycled product entirely made out of trash!
According to Donar team in their official webshop, as working in a fixed, closed working environment is obsolete, new Covid19 experience has shown us an urge to appreciate our freedom and comfort in nature. Working environments will not be limited to standard offices. Such a flexible workplace will require you to work in different locations and on different occasions (use your imagination). From there the Nicoless Backpack was created as a creative solution.
Nicoless Backpack already had its premiere at Museum of Architecture and Design at Tunel 29 exhibition from 18th of June till 16th of August 2020.
