Eternit Slovenija d.o.o., was established on March 10, 1998, as the company ESAL d.o.o., by signing the contract on joint investment between the companies Eternit (Schweiz) AG, Switzerland and Salonit Anhovo d.d., Anhovo, Slovenia. From the year 2002 the company has been authorized for the complete commercial and technical support to the distributers of Swisspearl systems in the region of South-East Europe.
Natural fiber cement is not harmful to health and environment. Instead of steel, polyvinyl alcohol and cellulose fibers are used for reinforcement.
Fibre cement has been a the magical attraction for designers, for more than a half a century. It contains 51% Portland cement, 30% Air, 12% Water, 5% Cellulose, and 2% Reinforcement Fiber. The thickness of Concrete Garden products varies between 10 and 16 mm.
Collection of garden furniture in Concrete Garden – designed by the architect Tina Rugelj and developed in collaboration with Eternit Slovenija d.o.o. consists of Double Bench, Garden Sink, Dog House, Seater and Planter 4 in 1. The collection also received the award “Furniture 2013”, by the Designers Society of Slovenia and recognized by international media from the Financial Times, ELLE, CNN Style, Wonhrevue, and many more.
Concrete Garden is a poetic garden collection designed by Tina Rugelj and by using Swisspearl material processing, it is tough enough to endure any kind of bad weather.
The lightest piece (the Sink) weighs 7 kg and the heaviest piece (the Double bench) weighs 56 kg. The capacity of the Seater is approximately 180 kg. The capacity of the Double Bench is 360 kg – 180 kg per bench.
Concrete Garden will have a pop-up exhibition during 3 days of design: Concrete Garden with its Limited Edition of Lace Seater from September 3rd to 5th 2020, in Embassy of Slovenia, Amaliegade 6, Copenhagen K 1256.

Swisspearl also has education project in Product and Industrial Design Department of the St. Gallen School of Design under the Lecturer Andreas Bechtinger, the project head. The program offers a practice-oriented training aimed at ensuring that the students reach an advanced level of industrial design competence. They then graduate with a higher school diploma in industrial design.
