The Time Lapse & X-ray Of Flowers – Tokyo, Japan

Consistent in enhancing the existence value of plants by finding the most mysterious shape, converting it to an artistic level and expressing it.

Makoto Azuma, is a Japanese floral artist and botanical sculptor, who famously took nature to places it’s never been before – for example his Exobiotanica project which was an ambitious experiment that sent flowers into outer space. He has set up a haute couture flower shop “JARDINS des FLEURS” in 2002.

Lately he has been actively presenting some of his creations of bold coloured flowers weekly in his media socials (info see bottom page). Some of his creations in order during soring and summer 2020 are the flower X-ray, and the flower installations for Parisian fashion brand Hermès while continuing his weekly flower drop time in loops:…

From Canna Lily, Orchid, Cenus Flytrap, to Nephentes, and many others, are displayed under the x-ray scan, resulting unique overlapping lines of flowers and plants, printed on x-ray film.

Makoto Azuma has also presented two flower installations during the reopening of the newly renovated store of Hermès on August 8th, 2020 – in the heart of the Marunouchi district in Tokyo. An orange summer breeze flowers installation presented in the duc carriage with horse, reflecting the Hermès trademark chariot as presented in the logo. Another flower installation of Makoto Azuma inside the Hermès store is displayed from ground to the ceiling with more contrast colors of flowers:…
