A collaboration between American streetwear brand and the Japanese avant-garde designer – Supreme and Yohji Yamamoto. Both have produced Fall/Winter 20-21 consisting of t-shirts, wool suit, parka, hoodies, sweaters, beanies, and down jackets.
In Supreme’s official website, fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto stated that he keeps continuing to break barriers between catwalk and street, luxury and sport, tradition and avant-garde. The collection with Supreme presents the artworks of Chito, Peter Saville, and Yuuka Asakura.
Yohji Yamamoto, has made collaboration with the German sport brand, adidas – Y3 launched in 2002, resulting a big success in blending luxury craftmanship in sporty garments. The unprecedented collaboration between craftmanship and street/sportswear followed by many designers like adidas by Stella McCartney in 2005.
Supreme has made hundreds of collaborations with artists, luxury fashion, sportswear, shoes, and automotive brands since 2006, for example – Lamborghini in 2020, Louis Vuitton in 2017, Thom Browne in 2010 and many others.
The collection of Supreme and Yohji Yamamoto collaboration will be available soon on Thursday, September 17th and the September 19th in Japan.
